Working at Eagle Realty and Development, LLC has allowed Linda Skaarup to learn all aspects of the real estate business. She manages the office which currently handles residential sales, purchases and leasing; commercial sales and leasing, commercial development, warehouse services, and property management for people all over the world.
Linda also manages Eagle Container and Trailer Rental which has over 500 units for lease.
Linda has worked for Mike Whitaker for 24 years and helps him manage all his business interests.
A resident of Pulaski County, she is married to William "Nico" Skaarup and they reside in Somerset. Their son Ethan, his wife April, their children Bryn and Hailyn also live in Somerset. Daughter, Taylor, her husband Andrew and their daughter Isla live in Casey County but are relocating to Somerset. Their youngest son, Shaun is currently serving in the military.
Linda is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Kentucky Association of Realtors. Linda served on the Somerset Lake Cumberland Board of Realtors as a Director for many years and also served as President; she has chaired several committees and formerly served on the Professional Standards Committee for the Kentucky Association of Realtors. She was also honored with the Realtor of the Year award. She served on the Citizens National Bank Economic Advisory Board and currently is on the Advisory Board for Cumberland Valley National Bank. She serves on the Police Advisory Committee for the City of Somerset Police Department and has served on the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Somerset Committee.
Linda is a Past President of the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce after having served her second term on the Chamber Board of Directors and two years on the Executive Committee. She is the Past President of the Somerset-Pulaski County Rotary Club, of which she was a member for over 10 years. She served on the Rotary Board of Directors every year and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Linda received the Presidential Citation for the club's many achievements during her presidency. She has received the Distinguished Service Award for her many accomplishments and hard work as a Rotarian.
Linda enjoys giving back to a community that has been good to her. She has volunteered at Over My Head homeless shelter and in the Project 58:10 ministry at High Street Baptist Church. She has been active in her community helping with organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity and American Red Cross.
Linda has always enjoyed working with people and loves seeing their faces light up when they find the perfect home. Linda has been blessed to work with so many wonderful people and would love to add more to that list if someone is looking to buy or sell a home!
